JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer- Java/Low Latency Trading in Brooklyn, New York
As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
Responding to the evolving regulatoryenvironment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments byaddressing internal and external commitments
Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms

Deep understanding of multi-threading concepts.
Able to demonstrate in-depth understanding of OO principles and design patterns (usage and pitfalls).
Strong experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and Unix shell scripting.
Experiencewith development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributedapplications in a mission-critical production environment.
Exposure and strong understanding of the difference between synchronous and asynchronous processing.
Experience with JMS and Messaging Products (preferably WebSphere MQ).
Experience in developing real time systems using distributed caching technologies (GemFire)
Exposure to distributed Java applications in a service based architecture.
Experience with cloud computing
Credit Risk experience within an Investment Bank.
Experience calculating risk metrics.
Knowledge of trading and clearing flowsin the Bilateral, Intermediation, and Clearing spaces (including SEFs)across listed and OTC products (including but not limited to CDS, IRS,F&O, and FX).
