Commercial Banking (CB) serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Firm's broad platform positions the Commercial Bank to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.
The Data, Analytics & Tools (DAT) group is responsible for ensuring that the Commercial Bank’s Business Process tool investments result in better client experience, internal process efficiencies and leverage data to provide client insights and opportunities. This position will report to the Commercial Bank Chief Data Officer and will be accountable for developing and executing an operating model and processes that ensure all data is registered and traceable to the source system, aligns with corporate definitions, is consumed consistently, and applies data integrity monitoring to ensure optimal data quality.
Report to the CB Chief Data Officer
Establish data control operating model and manage and evolve meta-data management tool to ensure:
All data is traceable to source system and aligned with Firmwide definitions
Data is registered and meets standards before on boarding to CB’s reporting platform
Leverages common master data supported by assigned data domain accountability
Incorporates administration of end-user and domain information owner entitlements with respect to appropriate security and level of access
Incorporates data integrity monitoring, issue detection and escalation
Coordinate across domain information owners to drive compliance with data control operating model and evolve ongoing
Ensure that appropriate data sharing and use controls are enforced and align with Firmwide guidelines
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Financial services domain knowledge, including expertise at the intersection of client, risk, and finance domains
Experience in operationalizing data control oriented information management programs in key business areas for banks, insurance companies and/or investment banks
Strong familiarity with Enterprise Metadata Management – both business and technology
Information management program life cycle experience
Expertise in creating and deploying best practices and methodologies
Experience in defining business requirements for information management projects
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven ability to act independently with excellent decisioning skills
