Position Description:

We are looking for a Data Analytics subject matter expert (SME) within CB Technology Application Infrastructure & Operations. The SME will provide technical expertise in getting data from various data sources, managing/maintaining data integrity, and showcasing data through visualization tools in support of various strategic efforts.

This role will partner with peers and senior leaders to develop a deep understanding of how data can address key business decisions. You will be challenged to quickly learn JP Morgan Chase database structures, apply your knowledge of analytics, and deliver strategic and accurate analytics, data and reporting to support and inform the business. This VP of Strategy & Effectiveness reports to the Executive Director and currently has no direct reports.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and improve reporting tools used by Strategy and Effectiveness team

  • Complete analytical projects from start to finish (requirement gathering, querying data and manipulation, project documentation)

  • Maintain necessary processes, controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity

  • Build and develop robust reporting platform that sources disparate data across the enterprise needed for dashboards, analytics and trending

  • Locate, acquire and leverage data and technology resources from across corporate data warehouse and other secondary data sources

  • Work closely with internal clients and management to prioritize business and information needs

  • Desire to be a team player, thrive in a changing environment, and stay focused on meeting business objectives in a fast paced environment with aggressive deadlines

  • Position Qualifications:

  • 5+ years with advanced database and analytic tools and techniques such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, COGNOs, Business Objects, Tableau and/or other similar statistical and data modeling tools

  • Proven track record where applicant had ownership of a deliverable, communicated methods and measured outcomes with senior leadership engagement

  • Experience developing and automating reporting processes preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, fast paced group

  • Connect technical methods and results to the business impact and firm objectives

  • Strong oral, interpersonal, and documentation skills

  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office
