The Service and Operations Technology Group within Global Wealth Management is looking for a Java Software Engineer to become part of our global technology team. In this role, this individual will design, develop, code, test, debug and document programming applications to satisfy requirements. They will work closely with business analysts and other developers. They will research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations. They will work closely with internal technical team(s) during the build and testing phases of the project as well as during the support of the production implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner heavily with technology partners, including business analysts, release management, infrastructure, and other developers, at all levels.

  • Utilize Agile methodology and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.

  • Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs developing applications within mature technology environments.

  • Design, develop, code, test, debug and document.

  • Review design and functional specification prepared by other team members.

  • Manage code quality for total build effort.

  • Coordinate with end users during User Acceptance Testing.

  • Analyze and document problems, recommend solutions, and initiate corrective action.

  • Support production rollouts of the functionality on-site by partnering closely with the Operate team.

  • 6+ years of development experience in Java, UI JavaScript Frameworks (ExtJS, AngularJS), HTML5, Spring, Restful Services, MQ, and Unix.

  • 6+ years of strong Relational DB experience Sybase, Oracle or MS-SQL (MS-SQL will be a plus & SQL for writing queries & stored procedures.

  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Junit, Cucumber, etc.

  • Good understanding of Object Oriented & component based software development and experience using design patterns.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or analytical field with preferred focus on Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.

  • Self-motivated team player. Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information.

  • Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
