Private Equity Group
J.P. Morgan Private Equity Group (PEG), with over $24 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2017, is comprised of more than 50 professionals globally, and is active in all private equity investment types, styles, stages of business development, industry sectors and geographical locations, and during all market environments. The team manages diversified funds in the areas of Global Private Equity, Corporate Finance and Venture Capital; secondary funds; direct funds focused on China, Digital Growth, and Healthcare; and separate accounts. Our global client base includes pension plans, insurance companies, endowments & foundations, as well as family offices, trusts, and high-net worth individuals. The team also works with consulting firms and third party advisors.
This position is for an Associate or Vice President Investor Relations and Portfolio Management role within the PEG. This person will play a significant role in client communication and retention as well as client origination and capital raising through the design, creation and delivery of investor material and collateral to PEG investors, prospects, consultants, internal sales and service constituents. The role will also engage with product development, portfolio construction and information management. Also critical to the role is participation at the Group’s weekly meeting, collaboration with the Group’s global investor relations team, and building knowledge in order to be able to add value to all areas of the business. Excellent communication (written and verbal), product marketing, analytical, financial, time management and organizational skills and attention to detail are critical.
Focus on, and support of, the development and enhancement of new and existing client and consultant relationships for the Private Equity Group
Support the creation, preparation and review of client materials including: portfolio reviews, performance analytics and benchmarking, presentation materials, requests for proposal/information and data requests, market research papers, etc.
Liaise with information management colleagues, client service managers and technology team to streamline/automate/verify client data and reporting (standard/customized/ad hoc)
Create and update analytical models to support client and prospect needs, including fee scenarios, commitment modeling, cash flow projections
Monitor industry databases and publications for relevant environment, competitive and marketing information
Manage and enhance internal databases of client and PEG information
Work with internal sales teams to provide access to information and increase their knowledge of our offerings and capabilities

5+ years of professional experience
Product specialist experience and/or knowledge of private equity
Strong educational credentials
Series 7 & 63 preferred
