THE POSITION

This individual will be a key player on the Execution Services Futures Trading Coverage team.

He/she will possess a strong knowledge base across a variety of disciplines: futures trading strategy, EMS/OMS applications and trade flows, front-to-back futures/options operational workflows, risk management, marketing and client relationship management. The candidate will be a strong communicator who will be able to build strong cross-functional relationships internally, and strong external client relationships. He/she will be a person of high integrity and ethics, and will have a strong focus on risk and control procedures, helping to protect the J.P. Morgan franchise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities cover a cross-functional mandate, with a goal of driving product delivery, client service, and a commercial outcome. Core responsibilities include:

  • Client Coverage: Cultivating relationships with an assigned account package to help maximize our share of client wallet. Understanding our clients’ requirements and identifying opportunities for business-development or future product enhancements.

  • Trading: Executing and facilitating client order flow via DMA and Algos.

  • Internal Business Partnership: Work with Sales, Trading and Business Management teams to understand needs: define commercial priorities, solutions and help prioritize development.

  • Cross Functional Coordination: Work with the following groups:

  • Product Management: Ensure business requirements and priorities are clear, and provide key input into the development calendar.

  • Compliance and Regulatory: Understand regulatory requirements and ensure these are accounted for appropriately within product definition.

  • Risk and Controls: Ensure that products operate within appropriate levels of risk to the firm.

The successful candidate will possess or demonstrate the following personal and professional attributes:

  • Bachelors' degree from a leading university

  • 5-10 years of electronic trading experience; familiarity with Algorithms, EMS and OMS applications

  • Detailed understanding of the futures business workflows - EMS/SOMS/TOMS and post-trade clearance process

  • Knowledge of global futures exchange landscape

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity

  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner to build trusted partnerships and grow commercial relationships

  • Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment

  • Comfort in, and commitment to strong teamwork environment

  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive

  • Series 3, 7 & 63 registration is a significant plus
