The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.

Treasury Services is part of the product suite in the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) line-of-business. Treasury Services (TS) is one of the world's largest providers of cash management services and a top-rank, full-service provider of innovative payment, collection, liquidity management, escrow, FX and information solutions. North America Transaction Services product control oversees the financial reporting of the North America TS balance sheet $265bn Deposits, and $1bn of annualized revenues.

The role includes significant involvement with several CIB and Corporate groups across the firm including Product Management, Financial Controllers, FIRCs, Sales, other LOB Finance teams (both within CIB and other LOB’s), Credit management, Regulatory Reporting and Risk Management, and thus is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to gain broad exposure to numerous teams and products across the firm.

Role Description

The Associate role will have responsibility for the following aspects of North America TS Finance, including:

  • Supportof the month end close for Liquidity and deposit products to ensureaccuracy of the Financials, management-based reporting, and client profitabilityanalyses

  • Preparefinancial reporting, perform NII (net interest income) rate/volumeanalysis and key-drivers analysis schedules in support of submissions to businessmanagement, Product managers, CIB / Corporate Treasury, and P&A

  • Understandingall aspects of the liquidity forecast vs. actual P&L; quicklyescalating and resolving discrepancies and provide commentary forsignificant revenue or expense events to senior management

  • Understandbalance sheet and P&L usage, as well as RWA calculations, to validateactivity for appropriate classification for corporate and legal entityreporting

  • Validateexisting and develop, as needed, new MIS performance analytics and reportingto increase transparency around business performance, clientprofitability, expense management, etc.

  • Actingas a subject-matter-expert supporting project/product management forvarious North America TS projects/initiatives

  • UnderstandUS-based and international accounting principles to ensure proper accountingtreatment and compliance with external and regulatory reporting requirements

  • Understandand contribute to control frameworks including risk and controls selfassessment (RCSA), SOX, and New Business Initiative Approvals, and toensure accurate financial reporting with sensitivity for product, LOB andlegal entity level accuracy

  • Qualifiedaccountant Minimum 5+ years’ experience with accounting / financialservices background.

  • Strongcontrol focus
