As an International Product Specialist (IPS) within the CB International Banking Group, an IPS will be responsible for growing JPMorgan's international business among corporate clients and prospects in the $100 million – $1 billion sales size range in the Northeast region. This role is at the Executive Director or Vice President level. This position will be based in New York.
Key function of an IPS is international revenue generation by partnering with Middle Market and Specialized Industries bankers, treasury management officers and other product partners. An IPS provides in-depth and technical expertise to develop new business and expand existing global relationships in the area of treasury services, lending, trade finance and foreign exchange. An IPS must be a team player who is able to function effectively in a fast paced environment. In addition, an IPS is expected to independently manage complex international opportunities and be able to liaise with all levels of a client from CFO to treasury assistant. A broad knowledge of international banking products with a strong emphasis on treasury services is essential.
Specific duties include:
Responsible for managing a portfolio of international clients in the Northeast region. An IPS will act as the single point of contact and accountability for all international activities for both prospects and existing clients
Develop customized international solutions, including treasury management, overseas lending, trade finance and foreign exchange
Responsible for all stages of revenue generation activities, including regional strategy development, direct client interactions, prospect identification, customized proposal development, and deal execution
Represent JPMC's International capabilities both internally and externally
Identify opportunities for new products and services and better ways to effectively sell and deliver existing products
Provide sales input and the client perspective into product development, marketing initiatives and other related tasks
At least 5+ years of relevant International Banking or Treasury Management experience, including working overseas and relationship management
An extensive knowledge of all International banking products, services, and markets
Proven track record of results-oriented performance and building strategic relationships
Credit trained preferred, with experience financing overseas operations and screening transactions with credit or other risk issues
Demonstrated sales record, communication, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to independently handle most complex sales situations
Unquestioned levels of energy, enthusiasm, and integrity
Written and spoken English fluency. Additional languages a plus
B.A. /B.S. required, MBA preferred
