JPMorgan Chase Digital Technology Project Manager in New York, New York

Within Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) , the Digital IT team is responsible for setting and executing strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation across Chase Online and Mobile, helping to establish the best Digital banking customer experience in the industry.

The Digital IT team is currently seeking a Project Manager , who will be working in a PMO. This individual will be expected to develop project plans and execution approaches for a number of initiatives that are defined by client requirements and specifications. They will also work with other cross-functional managers and scrum teams to assist with delivery of the Digital platform releases.

Responsibilities include :

  • Working in conjunction with the PMO lead to deliver an overall excellent experience related to planning for the program(s) assigned.

  • Responsible for program and dependency planning for large initiatives (program and roadmap) within Digital technology. Required Daily activities include:

  • Program timeline and view creation and maintenance; including “evergreening” the program’s timeline and plan as the program evolves and continues.

  • Weekly, ad-hoc or as needed plan and dependency reporting on a customized per program basis including, but not limited to: Past due milestones, Upcoming milestones, dependency project status reporting, delivery risk reporting.

  • Dependency tracking and management, including identification of external project dependencies, as well as reporting of the status and delivery risk of those external dependencies.

  • Develop key relationships and subject matter expertise (SME) knowledge of the content and intra-dependencies of the plan from both a technical and a business .perspective. Be well versed on how individual components of the program impact each other. Become the voice of the program plan within and outside of the program.

  • Create a deliverable management function for the Digital PMO. Control activities include:

  • Identifying associated deliverables with major milestones of a program for both agile and waterfall programs from a business and a technology perspective.

  • Creating and maintaining a central repository of deliverables.

  • Reporting on deliverable status.

  • Knowledge and experience in other PMO activities to engage and learn in other towers for back-up purposes – governance, finance and reporting.

  • Ensure alignment with CCB and Digital planning standards; develop key relationships with planning team members within the PMO practices space to facilitate knowledge transfer.

  • 5+ years of professional IT experience in a Project Management and/or Business Analysis role.

  • Expert knowledge in the utilization of MS project; leading edge resource on the application of planning tools and techniques to large programs, as well become a resource for project planning for all of digital.

  • Expert knowledge in understanding and applying JPMC’s (or similar large company. release methodology) release structure to integrate the program’s milestones into the enterprise and digital release structure.

  • Expert knowledge in the project methodologies – waterfall, and agile and able to construct a skeleton program plan based upon one or both methodologies.

  • Experience identifying risks and issues, and translating them into an actionable statements; experience communicating program delivery risk to various senior stakeholders, including business and technology executives and their teams.

  • Strong leadership experience required, in order to consistently guide divergent perspectives into an overall solution for the program plan.

  • Previous experience working on large programs - >$20 mm and > 100 resources.

  • Consultative, positive approach to performing job activities internally within the PMO, and externally to our clients. Experience working in a consulting firm is a plus.

  • High emotional IQ – able to rise above the noise, and zero in on resolving issues without emotion.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
