Recognizing the need to strengthen management and coordination of regulatory initiatives across the CIB Chief Administrative Office, the CIB CAO Regulatory Oversight team was established in 2017. This team is responsible for providing interpretative guidance and expertise relating to global CIB CAO-wide regulatory commitments, with specific emphasis on support for firm wide Recovery & Resolution planning; providing facilitation of execution delivery and development of operational governance structures to support on-going commitments.

Scope of the team associated to this role is related to the Resolution & Recovery reporting program, and has been chartered with developing a comprehensive reporting tool that will support Global Regulatory reporting. The Team is heavily involved in business requirement reviews, gap analysis, UAT testing, and partnering with business, technology and subject matter experts across the firm. The position will be focused on tactical short term and strategic long term operating models to develop a comprehensive Resolution & Recovery reporting platform.

Responsibilities for the Project Manager

  • Manage the end-to-end evolution of a global platform ranging from assessments, oversight, risk, controls, client experience, planning and development through implementation

  • Ability to manage multiple complex work streams

  • Ability to manage team of business analysts and complete project workflow from project initiation to implementation

  • Understand, define, and prioritize business, operational, and regulatory needs in the context of short and long term objectives and ensure they are incorporated into the overall plans and relevant programs

  • Utilize tools to analyze, synthesize and interpret large amounts of information and data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations to support regulatory requests and control priorities

  • Thorough documentation and understanding of current and future state models, including standard operation procedures (SOPs)

  • Liaise with technology to ensure the functional design and build requirements meet business and regulatory requirements

  • Develop end to end test strategy in partnership with firm-wide team and business user, and lead creation of test cases

  • Partner with global user base to drive in depth end user testing, gather feedback and incorporate recommendations into future releases

  • Lead the testing, gap analysis, issue resolution, and managing production defects in priority order

  • Conduct post mortem analysis after feature/release implementation

  • Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual Regulatory Reporting

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years project management working experience required, preferably in the financial industry

  • Experience managing small team of business analysts

  • Understanding of trade flows across asset classes desired

  • Disciplined self-starter with high attention to detail and ability to execute tasks independently

  • Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic, and high pressure environment where creative thinking is required

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new business concepts

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate issues during production and testing, driving timely resolution communicating to all levels

  • Understanding of Waterfall and Agile project delivery frame work

  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with business partners, technology partners, and SMEs across multiple disciplines and functions

  • Demonstrated experience working on large scale complex projects and initiatives across multiple functions and locations

  • Knowledge of Global Regulatory Requirements and financial markets overall

  • Strong process improvement and operations analysis experience

  • Experience developing processes to fulfill regulatory guidelines and requirements preferred

  • Excellent presentation, formula compilation, and data analytics skills; strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is required

  • Experience with databases/data marts preferred

  • Data modeling techniques preferred
