JPMorgan Chase Credit Operations Leader in Tempe, Arizona

The VP, Operations Leader will be responsible for Corporate Liability(CL) acquisitions and/or High Risk Review Process and credit line increase function including process owner/Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CL acquisitions and/or High Risk Review and credit line increases, process improvement, fostering Manila partnership, partner with audit and controls, policy and procedures, developing team, talent assessment, reporting. This position manages and directs Corporate Liability team activities and monitors progress and results. On an on going basis the Corporate Liability Operations Manager recommends and implements enhancements to improve the effectiveness as well as efficiency of the CL underwriting and/or High Risk Review Process. In addition they will present business updates to senior managers within New Customer Engagement (NCE) and across our NCE partnerships including Business Development, Risk and Controls and Compliance. The CL Operation Leaders will also proactively identify and recommends solutions to issues, may manage multiple functions across sites.

  • Minimum 5 years commercial credit management experience, required

  • Commercial credit card lending experience a plus.

  • 3 -5 years’ experience managing high impact team , required

  • Proven ability to spread business financial statements/tax returns, perform ratio analysis, complete risk assessment and make sound credit decisions and recommendations via written and verbal presentations;

  • Experience in defending difficult decisions and in negotiating counteroffers, where appropriate;

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including staff supervision, training and development with a focus on compliance andquality objectives;

  • Superior credit/lending and transactional knowledge as well as analytical abilities with little or no guidance required from immediate manager;

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers and with various levels of management;

  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment;

  • Flexibility in adapting to changing volumes and areas of focus (new applications versus portfolio reviews versus initiation of collections, etc.);

  • Ability to investigate, recommend and initiate process improvements;

  • Possess significant accounting and finance knowledge, and commercial banking experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline (MBA a plus);

  • Successful completion of a major corporate bank commercial training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/ corporate finance or accounting experience);
