Summary:

DevOps is the practice of application development and production management working together in the service lifecycle from design through the development process to production support. We expect this to lead to increased stability, security, resiliency, efficiency, and speed through increased collaboration and automation, as well as and a reduction of wasteful activities.

The Cybersecurity DevOps Transformation Lead is responsible for driving the adoption of the culture, practices, processes and tools that will enable Cybersecurity to fully adopt DevOps practices. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile, DevOps and the various points at which development and operations could be improved by culture, practices, and automation to improve the stability, security, resiliency, efficiency and speed of development.

The Cybersecurity DevOps Transformation Lead will partner with Cybersecurity Technology & Cybersecurity Production Support to:

  • Improve communication, collaboration, and integration between software developers and IT operations

  • Automate the application delivery pipeline and develop core services that automate steps where manual activities currently exist

  • Adopt orchestration capabilities (Jules / NIO)

  • Adopt of SDLC worfklow (JIRA)

  • Adopt automated security scanning

  • Adopt automated testing (unit/regression, performance, & UAT)

  • Adopt automated deployment (AIM)

  • Drive lean engineering (identify waste / inefficiencies) & lead remediation efforts

  • Develop T-shaped developers

  • Support the adoption of Agile methodology across Cybersecurity in partnership with Agile coach

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of overall experience with an emphasis on information technology

  • 5+ years of experience driving the adoption of and achieving successful DevOps practices across organizations

  • 5+ years of experience with agile development (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and within an agile project team (either Agile by definition or agile in ability to perform cross-functional tasks quickly) Influence skills that truly build commitment, cooperation and high performance

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Critical thinking skills to assess how team capabilities can best be applied to complex business situations

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated and strong leadership and management skills
