CIB F&BM Accounting Policy andControls Project Manager – Associate – NY (Brooklyn)

The CIB F&BM Global Program Management team is the Change Management function for CIB Finance and Risk. This team is looking for an Associate to support the Accounting Policy and Controls agenda, providing project management on large scale initiatives primarily related to accounting policy changes, impacting multiple lines of business and functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Accounting Policyrelated projects for the CIB Controllers organization.

  • Support the Business Lead andProject Manager in the definition of project scope and managingstakeholders, risks and issues.

  • Defining a project plan for aproject or a workstream of a large project.

  • Tracking/managing execution ofthe project plan.

  • Identify and manage projectrisks, issues and dependencies

  • Manage communication of statusupdates to stakeholders and Senior Management through scorecards,presentations and reporting.

  • Develop proactive partnershipswith stakeholders in CIB Finance, Corporate Finance, Risk, and BusinessManagement among others.

  • Coordinate working groupmeetings, setting the agenda, preparing meeting materials, documentingminutes and ensuring clear ownership of action items.

  • Support the definition of newoperating models related to new processes or changes to existingprocesses, by partnering with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

The candidate must be a self- starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment and have excellent communication skills.

  • Minimum of 4-5 years work experience in financial services

  • Project Management / ChangeManagement experience

  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving; ability to define a problem statement, define alternatives anddraw conclusions

  • Strongwritten and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complexissues concisely and communicate effectively with senior people

  • Stronginterpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Ability towork independently and be self-motivated

  • Excellentworking knowledge of MS PowerPoint/PitchPro, MS Excel and Sharepoint

  • Knowledge ofCorporate and Investment Bank products and Finance/Accounting processes ispreferred.
