The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.
Corporate & Investment Banking Technology Finance & Business Management (CIB Tech F&BM) provides financial and business management support to JPMC's Investment Banking (IB) Technology Group, partnering with all lines of business to deliver application technology solutions.
The Etrading &Commodities Business Manager partners with specific areas within Global Fixed Income Technology and across Fixed Income businesses) to drive strategic decisions impacting governance, priorities, budget, forecast, control and cohesive direction of the group.
Reports to the Global lead for Fixed Income Technology F&BM, the Lead Business Manager Etrading & Commodities
Executive Level Presentations on strategy, budget, project delivery,controls, risks, delivery, etc.
Partner with senior technology managers in building financial plans withassociated budget/forecast/variance analysis and assist in understanding the inputsto and conclusions that can be drawn from, the analysis of performance vs. planand financial forecasting.
Enable processes to provide the proper level of transparency on expenses witha focus on key drivers and to maintain governance over financial controls.
Recommend process improvements with the goal of providing timely and accurateManagement Reporting
Provide insight and transparency around the technology expense base, deliveryschedule, and efficiency and resource agendas
Provide management reporting, communication and client reporting, focusing onthe overall business unit performance against objectives. Proactively highlightissues and risks to the objectives, derive solutions and drive remedies tocompletion.
Partner with other CTO/CBT business managers to agree and incorporate bestpractices.
Build strong relationships with central accounting, P&A, and reporting tomanage:
Monthly Financial Reporting Process - includes Executive Management Reporting
Monthly financial reporting process
Resource Management Includes
Develop multi year staffing plans
Understanding resource profile by area - growth/shrink drivers, type andlocations
Hardware and third party vendor contract requirements
Organize annual planning at various management levels
Ensure timetable and deliverable schedules are understood, communicated tothe team and that all targets are met
Organize required reporting for business review sessions
Articulate plan - Themes & initiative descriptions in business terms
Agree billing allocation methodology and expectations with FO businessmanagement
Agree calculation of metrics by central teams - service rates, exit rates,entry rates
Solid Technology Business Management(COO/CAO type) and strong Financial Management and budgetary control background
Experience with Finance, Accounting,Program/Portfolio Management, managing large scale productivity initiatives
Program management history would be beneficial
Excellent organization skills
Experience in working with senior levelexecutives
Good consensus builder; able todrive large scale cross silo/regional initiatives
Clear communication skills, and theability to articulate complex issues concisely
