CIB Finance & Business Management provides financial and business management support to JPMC's Banking Technology Group, that partner with all lines of business (both internal and external) to deliver application technology solutions.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Global Business Management Lead for CIB Tech Production Management, the primary function of the role is to provide comprehensive strategic support to the Production Management Technology team, a global 1300+ headcount organization accounting for $200mm of expenses into the CIB. The role will involve regular interaction with senior management across Technology, Operations, F&BM, to drive and manage strategic programs and decisions impacting governance, priorities, budget, forecast, control, and overall direction of an increasingly evolving group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted business partner to enable technology anddrive planning, communications and financial management.

  • Develop and deliver executive level presentations onstrategy, budget, project delivery, controls, risks, etc. Supporting theFront Office (Business/Product and Business Managers) in understanding andchallenging the full front to back technology allocations.

  • Assist in driving overall strategic agendas andprioritization process.

  • Create common set of goals, metrics and key successmeasures for the group.

  • Continuous review of processes providing timely andaccurate Management Reporting.

  • Partner with Senior Management to provide insight andtransparency around the technology expense base, delivery schedule, andefficiency and resource agendas.

  • Provide Senior Manager proper management reporting,communication and client reporting, focusing on the overall business unitperformance against objectives. Proactively highlight issues andrisks to the objectives, derive solutions and drive remedies tocompletion.

  • Manage the overall workforce and organizational design.Develop multi-year, global staffing plans and manage to financials.

  • Partner with senior technology managers in buildingfinancial plans with associated budget/forecast/variance analysis.

  • Ensure processes are in place to provide the properlevel of transparency on expenses with a focus on key drivers.

  • Drive large scale productivity agendas. Identifyareas of cost savings opportunity across the organization.

  • Act as lead of the planning and forecasting process forthe leads within the team.

  • Ensure alignment of the business strategy into acoherent front-to-back 3 year technology plan.

  • Drive accountability across the organization forexecution against the 3 year plan.

  • 10+ years Technology Business Management (COO/CAO type)and strong Financial Management Background

  • Must be a confident leader - possessing a strength ofpersonality and intellect to gain the respect of demanding business headsand senior finance management team

  • Experience with Finance, Program/Portfolio Management,managing large scale productivity initiatives

  • Excellent organization skills – written and oral

  • Experience in working with senior level executives

  • Good consensus builder; able to drive large scale crosssilo/regional initiatives

  • Clear communication skills, and the ability toarticulate complex issues concisely

  • Excellent presentation skills – Strong Excel andPowerPoint skills are essential

  • Leadership, relationship-building and influencingskills to drive agenda’s across a number of functions
