Office of Policies and Standards

Policy and Standards management is an area of importance in the firm and in the industry. The Office of Policies and Standards (OPS) inGlobal Compliance is critical in advancing the firm’s policy and standards agenda. TheOPS is responsible for establishing firmwide policy and standards frameworks,overseeing policy and standards governance and developing firmwide technology to support the policy and standardsmanagement process, including maintaining a single repository forpolicies (the Firmwide Policy Portal). The Office of Policy & StandardsGovernance Associate is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of firmwide policy and standards governance and other strategic initiatives as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinatemaintenance of the policy and standards governingdocuments, including review with stakeholders during approval/update cycles

  • Manage governance forums bydeveloping meeting materialsand soliciting agenda items from LOBand Function stakeholders

  • Contribute to the development,implementation, maintenance, andenhancement of firmwidepolicy technology

  • Manage the socialization of policies to LOB and Function stakeholders for review and feedback

  • Coordinate developmentof policy communicationandexception standardsand processes

  • Coordinate the development of metrics and reporting to seniormanagement

  • Lead policy training initiatives, new technology roll-out and other group initiatives as they arise

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit or Corporate Governance activities, preferably within the financial services industry

  • Bachelor or higher degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline

  • Past experience working with business and technology partners on designing and delivering enhanced technology solutions

  • Professionalmaturityand confidence in expressing a point of view with senior management

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across different businesses and functional areas

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong control mind set

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong process and business analysis skills

  • Strong Excel, Word and Power Point skills as well as ability to become a subject- matter expert in new authoring and workflow technology and portal management
