The Commercial Banking Client On-boarding (CBCO) Program Management Office provides controls and operational risk expertise in an effort to develop a strong control culture within the organization.

The CBCO Program Management Office is seeking a successful candidate to provide oversight of the RCSA program, as well as strategic, tactical, and risk and control activities that support the agenda in the organization. The Business Operations Director will report to the Sr. Program Manager of CBCO.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Primary ownership for the Regulatory Operations RCSA Assessment, including developing and testing RCSA controls, assessing and reporting results, maintaining a continuous improvement program, and maintaining the RCSA

  • Provide control expertise in executing business strategy related to the prioritization, design and implementation of changes to the RCSA Assessment, including procedures, process maps, RCM assessments, control design, testing design, implementation, and the on-going RCSA program

  • Own oversight of the end-to-end control lifecycle

  • Oversee audit and action plan validation testing

  • Manage various annual recertification events

  • Primary liaison to the Commercial Banking Controls Office as well as to the CAO Business Operations Executive

  • Drive key operation and regulatory risk initiatives using standard project delivery framework and principles

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years Financial Services and regulatory background

  • Expertise with the firm-wide RCSA framework, policies and principals and risk and control design and testing

  • Operational Risk management mind-set including experience with operational risk, audits, and process assessments

  • Experience in managing staff directly, and accomplished at matrix management

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus

  • Creative problem solving and solid judgment decision making skills

  • Strong analytical skills; Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively

  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity and understand impacts in book of work

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into business presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial Banking Experience

  • Treasury Services Product Knowledge

  • Audit or Operational Risk Management Experience

  • Project Management experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites
