Commercial Banking serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) services several lines of business groups and product groups within JPMorgan Chase, including Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Asset Management, Corporate and Investment Banking. Key functions include loan documentation, loan closing and funding, loan syndication and trade processing, collateral perfection and management, and customer service and reporting.

This position reports directly to the ABL and EF Operations Manager and has exposure to all areas of WLS and key business partners. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with WLO Senior Leaders, Business Leaders and Subject Matter Experts as well as partners in Commercial Banking to include Compliance, Control Office, Risk, & Legal.

This Business Management Associate will be handling business management duties, project management and other key operational related duties.


  • Communications Management – Develop communication strategy for organization. Help draft communications to the team,senior management, functional partners and supported businesses. Design communicationpackages to be delivered as part of the team’s communication strategy.Help plan, lead, and facilitate various meetings and programs.

  • Projectmanagement – Create project plans,display ability to communicate with senior management regarding projectprogress, facilitating discussions and resolving conflict through broaddecision making; Define purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, anddeliverables; manage overall project plans.

  • StrategicDesign –Work with managers and teammembers to develop team mission statement and strategic vision. Help to develop long-term and short termteam strategy.

  • UserTesting – Develop methods to obtaininternal and external customer feedback on team processes and use feedbackto create programs to improve the client experience.

  • Changemanagement - ability to analyze processes,make recommendations for change, document and implement change.

  • Point of Contact – act as a central coordination contact for business partnerrequests (e.g. Finance, Legal, Technology, HR, etc.)


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Ability to lead change by building effectivepartnerships at all levels

  • Independent, self-motivated with an ability to adaptand be flexible in a team environment

  • Strong analytical, problem solving andjudgment skills

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in businessmanagement, operations management, or project management in the financialservices industry

  • Strong knowledge of banking operations(preferably loan operations)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities anddeadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong written and oral communicationskills, including ability to create formal presentations for executivemanagement

  • Experience developing long term strategiesand team mission statements

  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving andjudgment skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Officeproduct suite with excellent PowerPoint skills.
