Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) exists within Commercial Banking and provides loan servicing functions to all JPMorgan lines of business. These functions include loan documentation, closing and funding, payment and fee processing, syndication loan and trade processing, credit administration, credit agreement compliance monitoring and collateral perfection and management.

The Centralized Letter of Credit Process Owner resides within the WLS Credit Administration team and will be responsible for leading a client focused transformation effort.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation effort from a transaction focused operating model to a client centric operating model in which “Client Advocates” own the end to end client experience

  • Serve as the senior business initiative lead, identifying and driving changes to the operating model, toolset, metrics, training and success criteria

  • Focus on continuous improvement of the client experience by developing a robust client and internal business partner feedback mechanism

  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key internal operations partners to drive accountability for delivering a best in class client experience

  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communications; ensure timelines are adhered to for initiatives by keeping senior leaders and stakeholders aware of progress

  • Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiative efforts

  • Develop expertise in operational processes, gain in-depth understanding of business unit needs and outcomes

  • Identify any risks regarding changes and develop a strategy to overcome or address these

  • Act as lead and subject matter expert for continued expansion and transformation of the function

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years financial services experience with minimum of 5 years of experience in a product/process owner and/or operations role

  • Experienced leader. Comfortable initiating and driving project efforts

  • Experience managing complex programs

  • Experience in leading dynamic projects and project workgroups

  • Experience in senior stakeholder engagement, interaction, communication and negotiation

  • Knowledge of the Firm’s or similar financial institution’s credit policy as well as working knowledge of loan operations preferred

  • Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal

  • Creative, results driven, self-motivated, and solutions oriented

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to isolate root cause

  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work in order to support concurrent projects

  • Well organized. Comfortable working on multiple efforts simultaneously

  • Ability to lead, challenge and adopt a changing business landscape

  • Ability to focus on the key issues and drive initiatives to conclusion

  • Ability to relate well with all levels of staff and work with cross-functional teams

  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project) required, as well as the ability to use web-based technology effectively

  • Previous or current management experience a plus

  • Experience with related credit systems such as Loan IQ, Deal Works, CLASS etc. a plus
