JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking Finance – Wholesale and CB Transformation Initiatives – VP in Chicago, Illinois

The Wholesale and CB Transformation Initiatives function within the Commercial Bank’s Controllers group drives transformative solutions across the Commercial Banking Financial space to ensure more accurate data, improved controls, and enhanced technology for a best in class external reporting operating model.

The role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a period of tremendous change; influencing and building strategic partnerships and operating models with data providers accountable for accurate reporting of our Wholesale commitments and loans as well as supporting strategic Commercial Banking data initiatives. In addition, the role will include working closely with the SEC and Regulatory Reporting teams as well as Policy and line of business Product Controllers.

This Vice President role will be part of a team responsible for the following:

  • Drive strategic data sourcing solutions for collateral, inclusive of technology, op model and controls

  • Partner with Wholesale Lending Services, Credit Risk, and Legal to improve the credit agreement structure as well as helping to synchronize relevant policies and procedures

  • Design regulatory exam and audit readiness operating model

  • Support the resolution of data quality issues through innovative solutions

  • Preparation of other ad hoc support materials/ presentations for senior management

  • Support the development of strategic wholesale lending requirements as part of the firmwide Finance and Risk Programs

Qualifications

  • 6 to 10 years in an Finance, Wholesale Lending Operations, Accounting, or Credit Risk

  • Knowledge of and experience with credit risk systems

  • Solid analytical and creative thinking skills

  • Strong leadership skills and dedication to meeting deadlines

  • Ability to document and prepare executive-level presentations of findings (PowerPoint)

  • Good judgment and a willingness to make decisions

  • Ability to make connections and understand potential impacts across entities, businesses, and functions

  • Ability to understand the big picture while maintaining a detailed focus on reporting requirements

  • Willingness to partner with teams across time zones and regions

  • Knowledge of Regulatory/SEC reports and related requirements a plus

  • Knowledge of and experience with credit and risk systems a plus
