JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking – Financial Analysis – CB Planning & Analysis – Associate in Chicago, Illinois

The Commercial Banking (CB) Capital Stress Testing team resides within the CB Planning and Analysis (P&A) team. This team partners with the Corporate Capital Stress Testing team (CCST) to prepare JPMC’s Capital Plan to demonstrate capital strength under stress conditions in order to distribute capital in the coming year.

The individual will be a member of the CB Capital Stress Testing team and will contribute to the development of standards for capital stress testing across Commercial Banking. The primary focus areas for this position will be to support ongoing stress testing activities, including the annual CCAR and ICAAP submissions as well as quarterly risk appetite exercises. The individual will partner with colleagues in Corporate Finance, Risk functions and the line of business areas.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Preparation of executive presentation materials for CFO, CRO, and/or CEO

  • Key contributor in the development and implementation of CB standards for capital stress testing

  • Support the build-out / automation of capital stress testing tools, as applicable

  • Perform needed execution steps to load financial projections for each scenario to our local Essbase cubes

  • Develop executive presentation decks for CB senior management

  • Maintain methodology narratives and standard operating procedures as needed

  • Documentation of new and existing estimation methodologies

  • Drive initiatives to continually improve and enhance existing processes

  • Lead ad-hoc analytical requests from senior management, other functions, and regulatory agencies

  • The candidate must be a self starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment

  • Ability to multi-task and be hands on in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines under pressure

  • A detail oriented problem solver with proven ability to evaluate processes, controls and issues to determine and assess risks

  • Creative self starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)

  • Experience with Essbase Add-in

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
