The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for the provision of legal services to the Corporation and is organized by practice groups that generally align with the Corporation’s lines of business and corporate staff areas. This structure encourages legal teams and businesses and staff areas to discuss legal, regulatory and business developments effectively and in a timely manner.

Dutiesand Responsibilities:

Experienced immigration specialist to provide a wide range of support in the maintenance of a large docket of immigration matters. Advise assigned line of business on immigration of .

  • Adviseand assist a sophisticated client base in a fast-paced environment,providing a high-level of service when responding to questions regardingimmigration strategy, status updates, work authorization, next steps, andtravel.

  • Initiate,develop and interface with a number of partners (recruiters, HRprofessionals, managers, foreign workforce and outside counsel) towardsthe preparation of government forms in support of various nonimmigrant andimmigrant petitions; understand documentary requirements and filingprocedures at Service Centers and US consulates

  • Maintainknowledge of all relevant immigration laws, practices and procedures andhow they impact our workforce.

  • Preparereports for both internal use and in response to requests by HR,recruiting and managers across all lines of business.

  • Performcompliance-related activities including quality control, docketing anddata input.

  • Provideguidance to certain populations of business travelers to ensureimmigration compliance


  • Bachelor’sdegree

  • 3-5+years as an in-house immigration specialist. Will also considerexperienced employment-based immigration paralegal.

  • Musthave experience with the Microsoft Suite of applications, and withexcel.

  • Experiencewith LawLogix preferred.

  • All candidates for roles inthe Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interestclearance review prior to commencement of employment
