JPMorgan Chase SAP BPC Software Engineer in Chicago, Illinois

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

This position is for a Configuration and Implementation Specialist with SAP BPC expertise. The employee will be a key contributor to the SAP Functional Team. Your core responsibility will be to support and lead the implementation of SAP BPC aspects of the investment programs. You will be responsible for the applicable module configuration to set up new functionality that is required. You will also work with the several Business Groups to analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/changes to technology applications; understand governance and control business processes and integration and translate these requirements into SAP BPC design and configuration, generate and execute applicable scenarios for functional and integration testing and work with the SAP ERP teams to ensure that business requirement specifications are understood. You will also facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation. Responsibilities will include conversion, implementation and Go-Live support. Understand and comply with the Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems

  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets

  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement

  • 5+ years experience in SAP-NW BPC 10.0 / 10.1 and EPM. Must be a hands on developer.

  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages such as SAP BW, ABAP, SAP BI
