JPMorgan Chase Technical Business Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

You’ll develop solutions for a bank entrusted with holding $18 trillion of assets and $393 billion in deposits.   • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a BusinessSystems Analyst, System Analyst, or Technical Analyst, with heavy emphasison technology and implementation understanding.

  • Experience working with software or web technologyteams.

  • Experience with software development methodologies andpractices (SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)

  • Developing process flows for strategic initiatives andassisting in the development of operating models.

  • Researching and documenting current state processes andapplying appropriate changes to support business requests/needs

  • Conduct GAP analysis; identify key areas of risk orconcern and impact to the business.

  • Translate business and design requirements intotechnical requirements for multiple Development teams - back end servicedevelopers, framework developers, and UI developers.

  • Perform critical analysis on information consolidatedfrom multiple sources, identify and resolve conflicts, and break downhigh-level information into detailed workable requirements.

  • Facilitate meetings; prepare documentation, and meetingminutes, as necessary.

  • Ability to consult and collaborate well with others.Work with Developers and Subject Matter Experts to understand the workeffort for a requirement, communicate any compromises or risks to theDesigners and Product Managers, and, if needed, facilitate makingadjustments that satisfy all parties.

  • Proven competency in researching and analyzing businessdata and processes

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and timemanagement skills

  • Experience in workflow analysis and documentation

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication andpresentation skills

  • Strong teamwork and client management skills

  • Ability to complete a hands-on technical assessmentduring interview process

  • Create environment of reliable data, transparency ofissues, escalation and accountability

  • Adjust approach when necessary, in light of newfindings, to ensure appropriate focus and coverage

  • Identify internal process opportunities and initiatestrategic plans

  • Utilize knowledge of business to level set the issuesand escalate as appropriate

  • Technical ability with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java,J2EE, JSPs, AJAX, XML, MVC Pattern.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the above areas.

  • Understanding of efficient design patterns and theirimplementation.

  • Strong hands-on core Java 1.6 and above and associatedtechnologies (Spring), or extensive experience in other OO languages and adesire to learn Java.

  • Distributed platforms and underlying messagingtechnologies (e.g. JMS, MQ, AMQP, Mule ESB)

  • XML (XSLT, XSD, XQuery)

  • Experience working in an Agile team (Scrum or Kanbanutilising TDD, BDD, CI, pair programming etc.)

  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic

  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation.

  • 5+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation.

  • 5+ years experience with Java.

  • 3+ years experience with a J2EE/EJB Application Server (preferably WebLogic).

  • 3+ years experience working in both Unix and Windows environments.

  • Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment.

  • Test-infected attitude (strong desire to perform thorough and exhaustive unit, integration and system testing).

Business Analysis Qualifications:

  • Financial Services Call/Contact Center industry

  • Business analysis, reporting of business data, problem identification, resolution and root cause analysis

  • Proven competency in writing requirements and designing reports

  • Ability to interpret and create functional usage mock-up and process flows

  • Presentation/communication/delivery skills- written and verbal

  • Effective project management and multi-task handling skills

  • Customer relationship and experience management

  • Team work contributing beyond core role and responsibilities
