JPMorgan Chase Vice President Training and Development Manager – HR Global People Support in Chicago, Illinois

Global People Support (GPS) provides HR support to all managers and employees firm-wide through three pillars:

  • Employee Relations – case managers track, manage, investigate and disposition HR guidance, complaints, allegations and performance-related matters

  • Solutions – representatives provide quality transaction processing, specialized consultation, project management, reporting and other HR services to support managers and HR Business Partners

  • HR Business Partners – provide support to a broad group of managers on a diverse array of human capital topics

The Training and Development Manager role is responsible for developing and managing training strategies and curriculums for GPS. The role will establish key partnerships globally across GPS and other HR functions to deliver results.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessment to inform a comprehensive training and development strategy for each of the GPS Pillars

  • Develop enhanced new hire training programs and onboarding experience

  • Design and deliver continuous learning, just in time updates, new initiative roll-outs; retool GPS on internal changes, industry trends, relevant HR/ER topics

  • Lead development/career planning strategies across GPS

  • Proactively identify changes in operations, policy, processes, regulations and systems that drive training needs

  • Perform ongoing maintenance of training procedures, plans and materials

  • Annual review of content for accuracy; edit as required due to compliance, regulatory or process changes

  • Partner with representatives from key support areas, e.g., legal, Corporate ER, Global Security & Investigations, Learning & Development, media relations, etc. as needed.

  • Ensure compliance of training with GPS Risk/Controls and Records Management requirements

  • Determine appropriate delivery methods and audiences

  • Continuously seek feedback on effectiveness of training

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5-10 years Training design/development and facilitation experience

  • HR Business Partner, GPS ER Case Manager or other HR-related experience preferred

  • Ability to simplify complex topics for internal audiences through superior writing, strong information design and other creative techniques

  • Can easily read through information and synthesize into concise, meaningful content

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills

  • Highly skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & other Office applications

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, project management and prioritization skills

  • Experience performing in a fast-paced environment; can adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change with composure

  • Captivate or Storyline design software preferred
