JPMorgan Chase Agile I.T. Project Execution in Columbus, Ohio

Consumer Business Banking (CBB) is recruiting a Project Manager to manage highly visible projects that need to be coordinated and executed across the CBB line of business and other LOBs in JPMorgan.

Role Description:

  • Responsible for facing-off with key business partners in order to understand the strategy, direction, and roadmap objectives for the business

  • Responsible for end-to-end Project Delivery and Execution (Scope through Implementation) of the key programs and projects which are aligned to the business' area of focus

  • Leads small to large complex technology projects containing multiple, interrelated projects targeting to achieve an overall business goal

  • Leads projects from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design development and implementation

  • Establishes project requirements, priorities, and deadlines

  • Ensures project is completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture and other relevant Firmwide guidelines. Coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects

  • Manages budget for assigned project, monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly

  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members

  • Role may also include people management responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a variety of complex projects associated with Consumer and Business Banking. Initiatives that will implement both inside and outside of the Release construct. Projects within the portfolio vary in nature, and include support for compliance, regulatory, Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) efforts and off-cycle release implementations.

  • Interacting with the Consumer and Business Banking key business partners in order to have a clear understanding of the major initiatives, roadmap/strategy, etc.

  • Building strong partnerships across CBB (Tech, Business, etc..)

  • Event / phase work plan design

  • Deliverables management including selection, design, tracking and reporting

  • Reporting and analysis; Roll-ups and follow ups

  • Addressing Issues, Risks and Change Controls

  • Presentation development

  • Phase end checkpoint preparation and support

  • Status report consolidation

  • 7-10 plus years of successful Project management experience in managing multiple work streams and or Program Management experience

  • Issue / Risk Management: Leads up resolving issues for assigned projects

  • Financials / Budgets: Manages all aspects of business case for assigned projects

  • Proefficient use of Clarity for managing forecasting and budgets

  • Very Strong Power Point presentation skills

  • Communications: Leads steering committee and manages all project related communications activates through Directors and Stake holders

  • Project Planning and Tracking: Develops organizational structure to address specific needs of the project.

  • Business Value Delivered: Able to translate business strategy into defined projects. Responsible for continued delivery of maximum business value across the assigned projects.

  • Manage and Support People: Responsible for management and support of the team supporting projects.

  • Dealing with Ambiguity: Understands broad view of portfolio/projects and can provide clear direction/consistent progress towards portfolio/project goals in the face of conflicting priorities

  • Decision-Making: Strong decision making skills and willingness to escalate to management when needed

  • Strong driver to ensure on time delivery of Project tasks and milestones

  • Organizational Agility: Ability to apply organizational agility skills working with Senior Dir + and cross business unit/LOB to ensure all needs met for portfolio/project

  • Adherence to SDLC/Controls: Ensures assigned projects are utilizing project methodologies

  • BS/BA Degree Or Equivalent Experience

  • Agile Methodology and Cloud Migration experience desired
