Business Analysis & Reporting Sr Associate

Commercial Banking (CB) delivers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise and dedicated service to more than 24,000 global clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions and not-for-profit organizations along with nearly 35,000 real estate investors/owners.

The successful candidate will join a global Data, Analytics and Tools (DAT) group, in Commercial Bank. He/she will learn core business processes and partner with aligned Business Leadership, Technology, and DAT teams to lead both strategy and execution of a comprehensive operational metrics reporting & analytics program to enabling continuous improvement in Key Performance Metrics while also re-engineering existing reporting processes for maximum efficiency and value. The candidate will be responsible for defining, monitoring and reporting key metrics, through data mining, to create robust documentation. Additionally, the candidate will prepare Monthly Business Review presentations for Senior Management review along with providing a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Define, monitor, and report key management metrics; implement and manage dashboards at the employee, team, and department levels

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand diverse reporting requirements and serve as a thought leader in simplifying the execution of data management and reporting processes, as well as metrics definitions

  • Develop a headcount capacity and forecasting model to ensure appropriate staffing levels in anticipation of expected volume patterns; refresh based on actually observed monthly volumes

  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to process improvement analysis and “what-if” scenario modeling


  • 7+ years of total experience within MIS, Operations, Finance, and/or Management Consulting roles. The successful candidate will have a unique mix of technical data skills and business acumen, with strong past experience in operational process monitoring & management.

  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality, senior manager-level reporting and analysis from diverse, complex data sources. Attention to detail a must with focus on executive quality presentation

  • Excellent communication, project management, and client partnership ability

  • Advanced-level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, VBA, PowerPoint)

  • Proficiency with data analysis toolset required: databases, SQL and data visualization. E.g., Qlik Sense preferred

  • Experience in banking

  • BS/BA required; quantitative focus strongly preferred
