This position is part of the Consumer Bank finance team and is focused on expenses. This position will spend 75% of the time focused on all non-compensation expenses for all Chase branches (excluding Marketing and Real Estate) and provide financial oversight/support of the banker PVC incentive plan. The balance of this position will focus on Consumer Bank wide projects like vendor optimization and forecast automation. The Associate, Financial Analysis position plays a vital role in the forecasting, planning and analysis of consumer bank expenses. A successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented, process driven, and have strong inter-personal communication skills. Demonstrated mastery of Excel is essential and familiarity with Essbase, Smart View, or similar program is a plus. This is a high visibility role with regular interaction with the senior finance and business leaders.

  • Serveas a main point of contact regarding all non-compensation expenses andbanker PVCs for the Consumer Bank field organization

  • Develop all forecasts, budgets, and analysis for the above mentioned expenses

  • Effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences (verbal and written)

  • Partnerwith finance Risk, Occupancy finance team, and others to understandexpenses being charged to the Consumer Bank field organization

  • Maintain weekly “tracker” and “risk and opportunities” submissions for field organization

  • Develop/submit month-end expense walks

  • Assist with monthly/quarterly expense reporting

  • Partner with finance and business leaders to identify expense improvement opportunities

  • Lead the vendor expense optimization effort for all Consumer Bank

  • Assist with other Consumer Bank projects as assigned

  • Minimum Education BA in Finance/Business

  • Desirable Education (i.e. CPA, MBA, CFA) MBA preferred

  • Minimum years of experience within Financial Services/CIB, etc. 5 years of applicable experience

  • Technical skills (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint) Excel Power User, Power Point, Access, Essbase/Smart View

  • Product knowledge

  • Interpersonal/communication skills Organization, Influencing, Presentation

  • Other desirable areas of experience/knowledge
