JPMorgan Chase Corporate Finance - Global Real Estate Construction Accounting Associate/Lead Controller in Columbus, Ohio

Corporate Finance provides accounting, financial management, project management, and reporting support to the real estate, technology, operations, human resources, sourcing & procurement, general services, legal & compliance, and other staff business units.

Global Real Estate Construction Accounting, a business unit within the Corporate Finance - Corporate Controllers Group, presently manages the real estate construction project creation process, invoice processing, retainage, construction close-out, asset settlement, and financial reporting for all global projects. Real Estate Construction Accounting manages construction on a global portfolio of 80+ million square feet of corporate office and banking center space with an annual spend in excess of $1 billion across 13,000projects.

The Global Real Estate Construction Accounting Associate/Lead will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manageworkflow and lead a team of 4-6

  • Responsiblefor the management and oversight of the following:

  • Accountspayable

  • Invoiceaccounting assessment and review

  • Managementreporting

  • Ad hocanalysis

  • Maintainintegrity of financial data, controls, and assist in accounting processimprovement activities

  • Liaisonbetween Global Real Estate Construction Accounting and project managementteams

  • Maintainproduction statistics and error tracking

  • Conductmoderately complex projects and independently analyze, report, and explainoperational and financial data

  • Providedirection and independent decision-making for moderately complexaccounting and reporting issues under limited direction

  • Performresearch, analysis, customer service and monitoring payment status ofinvoices

  • Participatein global real estate application system implementations and enhancements

  • Bachelors degree required,Finance or Accounting preferred

  • Supervisory experiencepreferred

  • Invoice processing experiencepreferred

  • Creative self starter withstrong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently aswell as contribute to the broader team

  • Structured mindset withprocess/continuous improvement orientation

  • Ability to multi-task and behands on in a high volume, fast-paced environment to meet deadlines underpressure

  • Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levelsof staff and management

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Sound judgment anddecision-making ability

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience preferred withautomated financial systems (SAP)
