JPMorgan Chase Full Stack Design Engineer - Digital in Columbus, Ohio
As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
The Trading and Investments team is looking for a full stack design engineer that will focus on designing UX components and micro-services for the Digital Wealth Management user experience. This role will be responsible for the design and build out of new UX and micro-services to create a powerful, reliable, and secure investment experience that will be used by millions of customers worldwide.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
5+ years expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
5+ years building and designing UX components for SPA
Advanced knowledge of micro-services architecture, design and business process analysis
Experience in enterprise, micro-services, and software architecture.
Knowledge of data models, data typing, and data security
Knowledge and Experience Required:
Engineering Degree with 7+ years experience in software development of complex enterprise applications.
Prior experience working at a large tier global financial institution.
Strong technical leadership experience working with global teams
Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in an easy to understand manner
Creative problem solver and solution engineer
Eager to learn, adopt and turn into strong value proposition
Extensive experience with
Java (Core & EE, Spring, Junit)
Single Page Application (HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, Ractive, React, Angular, Web Components)
Build tools (Maven, Jenkins)
SCM tools (GIT/BitBucket)
Automated Testing tools (Cucumber, Selenium)
Agile Scrum Project Delivery (JIRA)
NOSQL and BigData (Cassandra, Hadoop)
Experience with Cloud/Container development & deployment using Docker, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS
Experience in designing and developing micro-services based applications
Exposure to Machine Learning and AI ecosystem
Responsive / Adaptive User Interface Design
Experience with building and supporting client facing, web based trading and portfolio management platforms at a large financial institution.
Experience with last JAVA development toolset
Understanding of the Asset Management business
Understanding of Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Alternatives, and Cash products
