JPMorgan Chase Home Lending Invoice Processing Operations Manager I in Columbus, Ohio

The IP Operations Manager I is responsible for leading all aspects of a key operational division (i.e. Invoice Processing) within JPM Chase’s Home Lending Servicing business. The role reports through Capital Markets and will be tasked with driving, controlling, and optimizing the execution of invoice processing on defaulted loans within the FHLMC/FNMA/FHA/Private/Bank-Owned portfolios

The position is responsible for managing a team of 6 employees located both in Columbus, OH and Tampa, FL. In this role the Operations Manager I will collaborate closely with other lines of business- internally and externally to meet payment SLA’s while minimizing financial risk to the firm

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance)

  • Prior experience with servicing guidelines and default

  • Track record of strong communication skills and collaboration

  • Ability to influence and direct activities outside direct reporting structure or control

  • High proficiency with MS Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Strong home lending systems knowledge and background

  • Ability to manage oneself- time management, deadlines, decision making, and key initiatives

  • Maintains and organizes raw data in a presentation format

  • Leads operational and/or technical tasks/projects/assignments as assigned end to end to identify all potential problems and how to solve for them. Articulates issues and risks to management. Provides support to department to ensure timely completion

  • Assist in the development of procedure and/or policy changes, process flows and presentations

  • Review and recommend process improvement opportunities within the business unit

  • Will routinely create and edit departmental policies and procedures based on LOB, Regulatory, Default, or Risk changes

  • Maintain all SLAs and invoice aging to meet departmental goals and contractual obligations

  • Root cause expenses to identify ways to reduce Chase loss

  • Increase efficiencies by analyzing processes to identify areas where productivity can be increased or automated

  • Implement quality review of current processes to ensure work is being processed according to current policies and procedures

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

  • Three plus years of prior experience in mortgage banking servicing, operations or originations. Specific knowledge of the policies, procedures and systems pertaining to servicing, operations or originations is preferred

  • Excellent ability to organize and report data to upper management

  • Strong power point and presentation skills

  • Advance working knowledge of Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data, raise questions and seek resolution

  • Must demonstrate strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to collaborate and interact in a team-based environment

  • Ability to work with all levels of management

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
