JPMorgan Chase Tax Analyst II in Columbus, Ohio

Tax Analyst II for TRCT will provide concentration on the positioning of operational and strategic programs. The role will focus on the user (client) community, and the effective communication and delivery of these programs.

The core responsibilities of this position include:

  • developing a keen understanding of the unique business needs

  • securing a strong understanding of the processes and responsibilities of all those involved in the business workflow

  • preparing and maintaining the overall project plan

  • following up with the area on ways to improve

The Tax Analyst II will conduct interviews with management and department subject matter experts and analyze processes and procedures to identify tax reporting gaps and opportunities for improvement. The Tax Analyst II will then recommend and implement solutions to ensure year-end reporting is completed within IRS guidelines. The role will also serve as a tax reporting subject matter expert to troubleshoot issues, partner with IT on projects, process improvements and raise data quality issues for resolution.

  • Three years experience with Mortgage Servicing, Auto, Student and Business Banking operations is preferred

  • BA degree preferred

  • Requires two years experience in workflow/process analysis and documentation

  • Requires two years project management/process analysis required

  • Understanding the business needs and processes of the client

  • Strong Knowledge of MSP, VLS and Recovery One is preferred

  • Proficient MS Word, Excel skills are required.

  • Experience with MS Project and SQL is preferred

  • A familiarity with IRS, banking regulations and policies is preferred

  • A strong knowledge of the Chase project methodology.

  • Participation in multiple projects required, either as a participant, team lead or project manager.

  • A high degree of analytical ability and problem solving skills

  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management Tool is preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop an effective communication plan around projects

  • Ability to track and execute multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently and accurately while meeting deadlines

  • Ability to coordinate the activities of other areas for department deliverables accurately and on-time

  • Ability to effectively utilize technology to resolve issues and increase productivity

  • Ability to research compliance issues and develop policies and procedures based on findings
