Our Consumer & Community Banking Group depends on innovators like you to serve nearly 66 million consumers and over 4 million small businesses, municipalities and non-profits. Enterprise Systems Data Management (ESDD) is the centralized data hub for Enterprise Systems. ESDD provides high-volume, high-performance enterprise data integration (ETL) capabilities. These capabilities include extracting, transforming and distributing data from and across multiple databases, applications and platforms including on premise and cloud.
The Technical Product Owner / Business Analysis will serve as a liaison between scrum teams and business end-users to identify and design optimal solutions and drive the ESDD roadmap and direction. The Product Owner will work with the business teams to identify business requirements, work with technology teams to define technical solutions and ensure agile processes and practices are followed. It will be beneficial to have strong technical experience in software engineering as well as exposure to Ab Initio, Java development and business logic tools. The Product Owner should also have strong project management and communication skills and experience managing a product roadmap with multiple stakeholders.
The successful candidate will also ensure the successful execution of the various projects under their remit. They should have a solid understanding of both Scrum and Waterfall execution methodologies as they will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle to aid in successful project completion. This includes requirement gathering, engagement in scrum development, and test management.
Produce & prioritize backlog for development and estimation. Manage continuously shifting business priorities and resolve conflict with commitments.
Prepares and presents product plans. Identifies risks and challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, business integration needs, and retirement plans.
Ability to manage backlog and ensure smooth and continuous delivery of committed backlog year-round across with multiple scrum teams.
Attend and actively participate in scrum meetings such as sprint planning, standup, demos, and retrospectives.
Provides content for product roadmaps, ensures timely delivery, and provides business reasons for any changes/revisions made to roadmaps.
Engages and interacts with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups, and requirements gathering sessions. Practices open and honest communications with clients.
Completes business scope documents and defines and documents user personas for individual products.
Acts as escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution.
Works closely with development teams to review enhancement requests for strategic value and convey the product vision to the team.
Conduct client demos of new and upcoming functionality.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or other Agile/Scrum certifications a plus.
Experience working with globally distributed scrum teams a plus.
Effective presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent skills in communicating ideas both written and verbal.
7+ years technology experience.
4+ years of technical product delivery experience.
Software Development and/or Architecture experience.
Understanding of Ab Initio and/or Java application development.
Agile project management experience, including use of agile project management tools (i.e. Confluence, JIRA, Git, etc.).
Analytical, problem solving skills.
Requires leadership and negotiation skills.
Be self-motivated and confident in ambiguous circumstances.
