Wealth Management (WM) is comprised of the US, Asia, LatAm, EMEA and JP Morgan Securities businesses and provides integrated wealth management services for ultra high net worth and high net worth families worldwide. WM oversees $1 trillion of client assets across various products such as Investments, Trust / Estates and Banking and generates more than $6bn in revenue annually.
Wealth Management Planning & Analysis is comprised of 18 financial professionals who provide financial analytical and reporting services including budgeting/forecasting, profitability, weekly/monthly business drivers, expense management, and strategic planning services. The team works closely with the WM Regional and Product CFO teams and supports the WM CFO in addition to the Asset Wealth Management (AWM) CFO/P&A team and AWM Strategy for ad hoc requests.
The person will develop a solid understanding of products across WM and be able to articulate trends and business drivers for management decision support. Responsibilities include monthly outlook deliverables coordination, annual planning and ad-hoc analyses. The person will work closely with Regional and Product CFO teams, Product Control, as well as AWM P&A.
The main tasks include:
Prepare ad-hoc analyses for management meetings and strategic reviews (e.g., Operating Committee Review, Regional Business and Finance Townhall, Investor Day, etc.)
Assist in the production of the monthly Executive Management Report and Weekly Activity Report which provide senior management with detailed information on monthly financials, trends and business outlook to assist in key business decisions
Participate in the global annual planning process for revenues, flows and balances which involves financial modeling, coordinating and consolidating submissions from CFO teams as well as preparing management presentations
Coordinate with MIS on any projects that may impact financial reporting
Work with various Essbase and database interfaces to manage reporting changes.
Contribute ideas around improving reporting capabilities and new projects
At least 2 - 4 years of experience in Finance, with prior Asset Wealth Management experience preferred but not required
Strong analytical and modeling skills – MS Excel proficiency working knowledge required, MS Access and Essbase a plus
Capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
Detail-oriented, organized, ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly, while maintaining control with limited supervision
Desire to learn the technical aspects of revenue reporting process and be able to trouble shoot
Ability to partner effectively with various constituents (e.g., Regional and Product CFO teams, MIS, Product Control, AWM P&A, etc.) and communicate effectively with emphasis on materiality and relevance
Highly motivated team player with positive attitude and focus on business issues
Minimum of a bachelor degree is required
