JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking - Finance Costing - VP in Dallas, Texas

The Financial Costing VP within the Commercial Banking Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group will be working on a team responsible for the analysis, understanding and communication of expense allocations within and outside of the Commercial Bank. This includes leading the team with monthly loads, mid-year forecast and annual budget allocations for CB as well as providing ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required. The ideal candidate will also be heavily focused on implementation of activity based costing where applicable. This role requires the ability to coordinate activities and responses across a variety of teams, interacting regularly with other areas of CB Finance. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.


  • Preparation of Executive reporting packages to communicate Commercial Bank’s incoming and outgoing allocated expenses in a transparent and concise manner to all constituents

  • Proactively analyze financial results, trends, research issues, and provide crisp variance commentary

  • Create strong partnerships with CB F&BM and Corporate Allocations teams in order to access and report allocations accurately and consistently across organizations

  • Partner with key stakeholders to highlight opportunities for automation and online reporting to provider enhanced transparency

  • Act as a key contact and Subject Matter Expert of Commercial Bank for costing information on select products/services

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills for partnering with various levels of the organization

  • Assist in defining and updating product profitability

  • Special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5-7+ years in financial analysis, operational analysis or related banking experience

  • Experienced user of internal reporting concepts and systems (SAPCO, Essbase, etc)

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint/PitchPRO

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, leadership, and quantitative skills; aptitude to drive reporting and projects individually and with a team.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - must have the ability to build strong working relationships with the management team and team members within the business

  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment

  • Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information
