JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking Project Catalyst - Data Delivery Lead in Dallas, Texas

Project Catalyst is one of five major investments aligned to the Commercial Bank 2020 transformation agenda. The goal of this sales enablement effort is to deliver new technologies, data, and business processes to help our bankers optimize sales efforts and deliver a better overall experience to our clients.

As part of the Catalyst initiative, the Information Delivery team is responsible for creating a meaningful information experience for the CB sales force across any technologies or channels. The team designs end-to-end information flow, from origination and capture through preparation and use. By scoping data needs, executing against new data infrastructure, establishing proper control points, and designing information offerings, the team helps realize our overall vision for data.

The Data Delivery Lead must have experience successfully developing enterprise-scale data products and a deep understanding of how reporting and analytics are used to support and drive value around key business process functions. Candidates should have prior data architecture, design, and modeling experience and a deep familiarity with foundational data science. Success in this role will require an ability to understand both stakeholder and partner requirements, to define the short and long-term strategy for delivery, and work across business and technology to guide development.

The ideal candidate must be able to comfortably maneuver from deep business domain and analysis work to defining requirements and potentially prototyping solutions. Previous experiences with a data platform, data warehouse, or data product technical programs will benefit this role.

A qualified candidate should have a foundational understanding of the Commercial and Investment Banking businesses and the complex needs and uses of CB data.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Understanding of key Sales data to define strategies including channel alignment, consumption standards and overall data use

  • Become a subject matter expert across the CB Sales data & analytics landscape, enabling the value of data across the overall organization

  • Use of distributed computing, database, analytics background to contribute to the ongoing short and long term vision for key Sales data

  • Partner with Stakeholder to drive out consolidated solutions

  • Coordinate and facilitate Stakeholder forums to gather feedback and requirements on overall needs to align with strategies

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and documentation of business requirements/user stories, recommended business priorities, and advise business on options, risks, and costs concerning requests and options

  • Assess requirements against technology impacts and constraints

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the usability and the overall quality of the design, organization and structure

  • Provide guidance to ensure effective translation of user needs during Agile implementation

  • 7-10 years of product and or project management experience with a focus on data preferred

  • 5+ years of commercial banking and/or investment banking experience preferred

  • Experience participating or leading large data-driven analytics projects to drive operating efficiency

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), project management, and client partnership ability

  • Proven work experience collaborating in a cross-functional environment and influencing others to initiate a recommended course of action

  • Ability to command/lead facilitation meetings with clear & specific agenda to keep the audience engaged and drive active participation

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results within an Agile delivery model

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically within a dynamic, fast paced organization
