Legal Tech supports legal functions covering Matter Management, Legal Holds, Financial Management, Document & Knowledge Management, and Billing.

In the role of Software Engineer for Legal Technology, you will work in a global collaborative team of software professionals and assist in the analysis, design, development, and testing of developed applications to satisfy business requirements. You will be working directly with project managers, product owners, and other development team members in the development of innovative technology solutions including user interfaces and middle-tier and server-side components, whilst helping to achieve adherence to architecture standards, risk management, and security policies.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Design, analyze, develop, test, debug, and deliver components related to legal matter and spend management

  • Collaborate with fellow team members globally and communicate to keep others informed of progress

  • Provide general assistance in the overall management of the project lifecycle

  • Solid understanding of object oriented design methodologies

  • Knowledge of Agile SDLC methodology and techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, application resiliency, and security

Candidate should possess the following skills/experience:

  • Java / J2EE/ JSP / Servlet

  • Ability to create TSQL queries

  • Spring / Spring MVC / JDBC / ORM

  • Web Services / RESTFUL using Spring MVC

  • Working knowledge with SQL databases – SQL Server

  • Hibernate 3.x

  • Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with a relational database Oracle/SQL Server

  • Legal Spend and Matter management domain

  • Groovy programming language
