Corporate Reference Data Operations is the centralized provider of reference data and asset prices to any consumer in the Firm. Reference Data Operations provides high quality, timely and comprehensive data, in a controlled and standardized manner to reduce risk and total cost of data ownership. One of the key firm-wide domains is Financial Reference Data Operations. The Financial Reference Data Operations team manages reference data operations and change for financial reference data (the data domains for chart of accounts, legal entities/internal parties, business unit, etc.) and reference data for the Enterprise Products and Services Data Domain. Key firm wide functions like Risk, Liquidity, Credit, Balance Sheet, Regulatory Reporting, etc. are dependent on timely, accurate, good quality financial reference data.
One of the key Financial Reference Data Programs is Strategic Financial Reference Data Adoption. This program drives the adoption of SAP attributes firm-wide, sourced from the strategic data source, focused on non-ledger-feeding systems as well as partnering with the GL Target Platform program. The team’s work includes:
· Understanding how data flows from the transaction processing/product systems, is mapped into Finance and Risk repositories, transformed/mapped, passed down to other applications and its ultimate use in the key finance and risk disciplines.
· Identifying adoption scope through detailed analysis, stakeholder networking, surveying and sampling.
· Determining how to drive adoption technologically with data providers and data consumers, including guiding development of formal business requirements/User Stories, where necessary.
· Identifying key users, and partnering with, to develop implementation adoption plans leveraging strategic solutions. Includes building business cases focusing on analysis and reporting issues that would be solved through improved reference data and associated processes.
· Executing on the target-state operating model and adoption process.
We are seeking a high-performing candidate to deliver high quality Financial Reference Data to consumers in Finance & Risk, by driving the data quality issues related to Reference data to rapid closure. This is accomplished by finding the root cause of data quality issues and remediating them, causing the key data providers to finance and risk aggregators and downstream consumers adopt the strategic financial reference data. This would eliminate reliance on legacy datasets, constructs, Mapper/Wrappers, etc.
Inventory the applications across LoBs that have reliance on Legacy Financial Reference Data tables and liaise with the application owners / AD managers to understand and document the purpose of usage in business terms.
Actively gather Data quality metrics related to relevant Reference Data domains from the DQM portal, by liaison with E2E owners of the issues in traction.
Maintain the DQM Metrics dashboard that presents DQ issues at various stages across LoBs and succinctly provides the management with an accurate and clear status of the Program.
Spearhead select DQM issues by acquiring commitment on approach/timelines from parties responsible for remediation , coordinating with all impacted stakeholders and tracking consistently all the way to closure.
Manage Risks/Issues through implementing mitigation measures to prevent potential slippages of deliverables.
Participate in generating high quality presentation material for the monthly Strategic Financial Reference Data Adoption and DQ Steering committee forums.
Assist in driving the Strategic Financial Reference Adoption program by coordinating the delivery timelines with consumers
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MIS, computer science or similar disciplines, 3-6 years of financial services experience, some of which could have been either at a management consulting firm or in an internal transformational role, with data, technology and operations experience blended with knowledge of key finance and risk disciplines. Exposure to or involvement with data management and/or data quality programs is preferred, but not required. In addition:

Experience in the financial services industry and knowledge of or direct experience in key finance and risk disciplines.
Typically requires 3-6 years of related Financial Services and/or related work experience
Comfort with Data and Technology: Prior experience functioning in roles and functions that are highly data-driven and that required understanding of data models and flows, and technology architecture as related to business requirements, including comfort interacting with internal technology teams.Hard Skills
