Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
CCB Risk organization is investing in innovative solutions to manage risk across the Consumer and Community Bank and is seeking an experienced Vice President to support the annual Risk Roadmap planning and quarterly IT Demand Management processes. The position requires close collaboration with CCB Risk Lines of Business and Corporate Risk and Finance Technology. The Risk Business Architect Vice President plays a key role in defining our annual investments, coordinating business and technology engagements, determining and tracking resource allocations and driving delivery of strategic initiatives.
Participate in CCB Roadmap Planning and Demand Management forums and represent Risk programs and projects
Engage with Business and Technology partners in shepherding the projects from Inception to Tech commitment phase
Articulate key tollgates for Demand Management process with expected participation / artifacts from all involved
Engage in priority assessment process to represent Risk projects across Risk, Compliance, AML framework
Participate in architectural forum and ensure architect engagement for solution and design artifacts
Work with business to complete business tollgates for scope reads and business requirement documents be made available for Tech consumption
Host requirements elaboration session to engage tech suppliers for their support on the project and gather tech t-shirt sizing
Engage with tech leads to gather commitment responses in timely manner
Articulate readiness RAGs based on project readiness and tech commitment. Also able to escalate all business / tech constraints to appropriate stakeholders for corrective action
Negotiate middle ground for successful commitment of the project
Engage in management and tracking of Risk tech allocations on quarterly basis and re-sequencing of the demand to optimize the allocation usage. Communicate impacts of re-sequencing to program / project stakeholders
Track budget Vs Forecast Vs Actuals of Risk $ and hours. Provide frequent and timely reports of variances to program / project stakeholders
Engage in CCB Planning and Demand transformation and provide guidance to Business / tech partners for smooth transition
Provide reporting / status updates on frequent basis to senior leadership within business and technology
6+ years of business/technology architecture, product management or relevant experience as well as record of individual achievement
BS or MS in Computer Science, Business Management or comparable field
Good understanding of formal SDLCs
Ability to think strategically and to connect the dots to the bigger picture, while still comfortable diving into the details required to ensure successful execution
Expertise in navigating the organization and partnering with colleagues throughout the firm to achieve common goals
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to succinctly advise senior management of risks, challenges and potential solutions; ability to construct effective management presentations on complex analyses and operational performance.
Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities
