The Forecasting and Capital Solutions team is a new group in the GF&BM organization responsible for working in close partnership with Technology to service other GF&BM teams and for ensuring the execution of a cohesive strategy across the firm’s forecasting and capital tools with the goal of refining and enhancing JPMC’s capabilities.

The group currently has oversight of 3 key platforms:

  • F3is an enterprise-wide forecasting and analytical platform that aims toprovide a one stop shop for forecasting and analytics with robust controlsand oversight by integratingestimations in the firm with authoritative data sources and an enrichedadvanced analytics layer

  • Capital Desktopis a central platform for RWA actual computation including results, datacollection, calculations, operational workflow, manual adjustments,reporting & analytics for RCMO, LOB Controllers, Risk, and CP&A

  • Neutronis an integrated calculation engine (i.e., aggregation, consolidation andvalidation calculations) and reporting system for Capital Stress Testing

This position provides a rare opportunity for motivated candidates to learn current forecasting and capital process and methodologies across various Lines of Business (LOB) and products across the firm. The position involves interaction with senior management in several teams across the firm including LOB and Corporate finance functions, model development, technology, operations, capital management and controllers organizations. The ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively across these boundaries will be one of the keys to success.


Forecasting Services is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of core services to support the budget and forecast processes end-users, from defining and designing to the delivery and innovation of these services. More specifically, this role requires:

  • Supportthe assessment and engineering end-user service needs, define and deliversolution, recommend enhancements to controls, and ensure continuous improvement

  • Partnerwith key stakeholders:

  • Businessusers to understand forecast core services requirements and deliversolution that are linked to specific business needs

  • ForecastingControls team to identify opportunities tostrengthen and design controls within forecasting processes andinfrastructure

  • SolutionsPlatforms team to identify and adopt commonservices as part of end-to-end platform offering in a way thatcontinuously enhances capabilities and end-user experience

  • Technology todevelop enhancements and capabilities of the forecast core service

  • Operations toensure effective and controlled operational support for the forecast coreservice including governance, controls, documentation and deployment

  • Identifyand recommend best practices, controls and enhancements to be included instandards and integrated into BAU forecast processes over time

  • Leveragequantitative and technological expertise with finance knowledge to solvecomplex business problems

  • Supportthe completion multiple projects of small, medium and large scale throughsprints/iterations including managing overall project oversight andexecution

  • Collaboratewith the Solutions Platform team on creating solutions to achievesuccessful implementation of forecast core services and ensure scalabilityor synergies where possible

  • Define,analyze and monitor success criteria, KPIs, trends and risk/opportunitiesfor both short and long term across forecast core services

  • Monitorsprints on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managingissue resolution and taking corrective action as necessary

  • 3+ years of experience with a experience in automation andstrategic initiatives highly preferred

  • Understandingof financial forecasting (e.g., Planning & Analysis) and CapitalStress Testing processes a significant plus

  • Understandingof finance infrastructure and multi-dimensional financial systems

  • Ableto work quickly and with attention to detail, juggle multiple prioritiesand thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment

  • Effectivecommunicator with excellent written communication skills

  • Ableto work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
