Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions (WCAS)
The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions team (WCAS) is responsible for implementing key credit risk practices across Wholesale businesses and for ensuring consistency in methodologies within Wholesale Credit Risk. WCAS’ areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product stress testing, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk parameter data set, reserve/allowance management, development and implementation of an economic credit capital model, the construction and integration of credit and capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic advice and solutions to the originating businesses.
WCAS provides excellent exposure to any candidate interested in Credit Risk, Basel regulations, and Economic Capital. The team works across the Wholesale bank and is closely aligned with firm-wide partners including Quantitative Research, Finance, Model Risk & Development, Technology and the Regulatory Capital Management Office. We seek candidates with strong skills in finance, data analytics, problem-solving, big-data architecture and communication.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join a team focused on delivering the forecasting results production for the wholesale loans and commitment portfolio to meet the FRB CCAR requirements for Y-14A stress testing, IFRS-9 Expected Credit Loss, and CECL initiatives for 2019 production.
Specific responsibilities include:
Execute and deliver the quarterly stress forecasting results
Liaise with WCAS partners and LOBs to improve and enhance the forecasting process and results
Identify issues and streamline data flow from data acquisition to results production
Support the strategic build out of stress testing workflow/dataflow for future initiatives
Understand the implementation of the forecasting regression models as it relates to requisite data needs as well as results synthesis
Perform control and reconciliation against deliveries in addition to creating/enhancing formal governance on the same
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
At least 3 – 5 years of experience working in Risk Management, Finance, or other control function. Team management experience is a plus.
Independent worker used to delivering without direct oversight
Ability to work and solve problems independently and excel in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage and work with internal and external stakeholders
Self-motivated, organized and possessing attention to detail
Tableau and data visualization familiarity is a plus
Coding knowledge or experience in Python/SQL is a plus; expectation is to onboard quickly in a workplace environment
BA/BS degree required; Master degree or CFA a plus
