Launched in 2015, LEADERSHIP EDGE is JPMorgan Chase’s firm-wide suite of management training programs designed to help develop outstanding leaders at all levels of management across each line of business, function and region.
Reporting to the Head of Executive & Management Development, the person in this role will help model the digital learning strategy and design, and maintain technology-based learning solutions for the Firm-wide Leadership Edge programs and continuous development efforts. To be successful, this individual will bring their digital and learning technology expertise and will closely partner with the other Leadership Edge Designers, the Leadership Edge Learning Solutions technology team, the Leadership Edge Continuous Development team, Faculty, subject matters experts and vendors. The primary responsibility will be to support the design and development of executive and management learning solutions that are creative and learner-centered, that can be delivered globally using virtual classroom, social learning, mobile and self-directed e-learning modalities.
Design creative and innovative interactive digital, performance-based leadership and management solutions
Be a thought leader on existing and emerging digital learning technology (i.e. e-learning platforms, social learning platforms, podcasts, mobile applications, videos, LMS, MOOCs, etc.)
Design, develop, update and implement online and written training material. Provide design plans for training materials, participant guides, facilitator guides, storyboards for online and written training material and evaluation strategies
Apply knowledge of adult learning methodologies to create innovative solutions, storyboards, script, course content, job aides, learner guides and curricula
Contribute towards the instructional design and development standards for all existing and future training programs
Contribute to multiple learning projects and additional resources required to design and deliver learning solutions
Collaborate with subject matter experts and external vendors, if/as needed, to determine course content, project goals, scope definitions, learning needs and timelines to create and design learning tools
Design, develop and implement blended learning modules and other continuous development resources to address needs for LOBs/functions that can be delivered globally
Pro-actively conduct regular content reviews to adjust/update/refresh as required and in cooperation with the Program Owners
Conduct and/or support Train-the-Trainer sessions for facilitators as needed
Ensure that all training materials are properly reviewed and approved by Legal, Compliance, SMEs, etc.
Ensure all output meets firm-wide and team standards (quality, layout/branding, templates, etc.)
May manage the inventory of digital learning resources (online, classroom, job aids, continuous learning modules, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in learning & development, educational technology, graphic design, or similar degree is preferred
At least 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing digital instructional design solutions (strongly preferred)
Experience in designing, managing or administering an online university a strong plus
Ability to apply instructional design theories and adult learning principles in the design and development of blended learning approaches and solutions
Expertise in learning management systems, e-Learning authoring tools, social learning, and gamification techniques
Proven accomplishment in building relationships with customers and internal clients
Intellectual curiosity and ability to research new topics and methodologies
Exceptional writing skills and the ability to translate theoretical/academic concepts into straightforward, relevant and practical learning
Must have strong organizational, time management and documentation skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work within very tight deadlines
Strong consulting, negotiation and influence skills
Strong self-awareness and sense of accountability
