JPMC is seeking a Vice President for the Corporate Location Strategy (CLS) team. The position will play a key role in driving the Corporate Location Strategy program – a top strategic priority for the firm - across multiple lines of businesses in locations globally. The program is focused on optimizing our work-force in strategic global locations, including consolidating into world-class corporate centers of excellence that enhance our client support, employee satisfaction, productivity and controls, while optimizing operating costs.

The Location Strategy team, specifically, has the following key responsibilities:

  • Location Strategy& Advisory - advocating, leading, developing, and reporting theexecution of the firm-wide location strategy program – across all lines ofbusiness and functions in 300+ global locations.

  • Location Analytics–Analyzing external labor markets and multi-year LOB seat demand plans, toeffectively define, design and drive the firm long term location strategy.Enable informed decision making.

  • Program Management - Drive theprogram to enable execution. Communicate with stakeholders across the firmto ensure accountability, alignment and transparency

  • Workplace Advisory– Advising workplace best practices tomaximize productivity

This role will report to the Head of Location Strategy & Advisory and interface with Clients and Corporate functions globally. It will focus on strategic projects related to the firm’s long term location strategy design. Strategy projects blend workforce strategy across all lines of businesses & global operating model design including real estate strategy & optimization. The team is seen as change agents to drive, align and enable businesses achieve their global resource and location strategy goals and deliver quantum impact to the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Lines of Businessesto help define, design and drive their LOB location strategy

  • Buildrelationships with partners, client management, LOB strategy leads and theirstrategy team

  • UnderstandLOB requirements and help enable execution and resolution of deployment issues

  • Developdeep trust-based advisor relationships with key client stakeholders and ensureclient is satisfied throughout engagement

  • Helpdevelop market intelligence related to labor markets, competitor intelligenceand emerging trends in the global location strategy domain

  • Partner with broader Finance and RealEstate Community to drive global strategy and investment decisions

  • Driveglobal hub strategy and investment planning

  • Ensureongoing RE plans, strategy and investment/ divestment decisions align with LOBimplementation risks and firm’s long term plans

  • Driveopportunities to reduce the firm’s building and location fragmentation globally

  • Designoptimal target state by driving LOB and cross functional business adjacencies/synergies

  • Helpmanage/ mentor other members on the team across different geographies

  • Partnerwith team members to identify areas for continuous improvement and development

  • Manageresources in the team by providing guidance, direction and support with theirdaily activities

  • Developinga subject matter expertise on the inter/intra workings of all the processes andtechnology

  • Activelyinvest in building and developing team members; support strategic careerplanning

  • Beinginvolved in broader team efforts, including recruiting, staffing / deploymentdecisions, performance management, etc.

  • Work closely with the other LOBand Corporate Strategy Teams by

  • Actingas a thought partner to identify areas of inefficiencies

  • Takingownership to drive strategic initiatives across the firm and more broadly(e.g., optimizing shared services, process flows, infrastructure / technology hand-offs,etc.)

  • Ensuringdocumentation of policies, systems and procedures are updated in a timelymanner

  • Becomea trusted advisor/ SME and a go-to person for any business enquiries comingfrom strategy colleagues

  • 8+ years of relevant experiencein driving global change managementprograms in large peer financial institutions or as a managementconsultant advising senior management on change management initiatives

  • Expertise in location strategy is stronglypreferred, but not mandatory

  • Candidate must demonstrate superiorability to structure and scope complex problems, apply a range ofanalytical tools, gain and develop solutions

  • Candidate must demonstrate andability to lead teams including manage staff, collaborating with crossfunctional teams, managing different stakeholders and working effectivelywith teams globally

  • Advanced knowledge and experienceof using Excel and PowerPoint a must. Knowledge of Tableau is a plus

  • Strong team player andinterpersonal skills; demonstrable experience managing relationships

  • Strong client management,especially experience managing large-scale change programs, andexecutive-level communication skills

  • Strong academic background(advanced degree in Finance or Management Consulting disciplines stronglypreferred)

  • Knowledge and certification ofquality improvement / Six Sigma process is preferred, but not mandatory

  • PMP certification is preferred, butnot mandatory
