Job Description:

Chase Auto Finance (CAF) Data Management Program is a multi-year technology initiative to support CAF and enterprise data management processes addressing operational, financial, regulatory and analytical reporting requirements. The program includes the long term development of a strategic platform for CAF with data sourcing, data enrichment, analytical, monitoring and reporting capabilities. This platform will also integrate with cross-LOB efforts to create a single consolidated customer view.

Chase Auto Finance (CAF) Data Management team is looking for a senior business data analyst who will be responsible for the collection and analysis of business data requirements, the support of the design of the conceptual data models, and the development of functional specifications to support the reporting needs of the business.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate lead level capabilities in conceptual analysis, problem solving, and data design. They should have a proven ability to take ownership of business requirements, data analysis and modeling sessions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree, specialized training or a minimum of 5+ years equivalent work experience as a Data Analyst/Modeler

  • 5+ years experience with industry logical models

  • 5+ years experience using data modeling tools like Erwin is required

  • Substantial experience in performing data modeling studies and developing conceptual and logical data models

  • Considerable experience in translating business requirements into conceptual and logical models

  • Experience with full application development lifecycle (analysis, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment)

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence reporting and analytical tools such as Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, SAS.

  • Familiarity with retail banking applications such as loan originations and servicing, financial reporting and credit risk

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent visual information skills (e.g. Instance diagrams, data-oriented use cases)

  • Good background working in complex data schemas

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
