The Senior Product Manager is a product owner responsible for shaping the strategic product roadmap, leading cross-functional work to coordinate development of industry-leading commerce product offerings, and managing the associated book of work. Specifically, this role will define the international expansion chargebacks/dispute management strategy.
This highly collaborative position requires an individual who has demonstrable product management and ownership skills and a proven history of successful product delivery. The ideal candidate understands that product management is cross-functional and involves business development, strategic thinking, market research, client interaction, architecture, resource planning and general awareness of goals versus constraints.
This role has full life cycle responsibilities for the assigned products, as well as vendor management, business and technical product management, competitive positioning, marketing concepts, and management of related systems for the product platform.
Product level competitive intelligence and definition of value proposition
Defines product strategy and creation of product roadmap, inclusive of a roadmap for particular verticals as applicable
Creation of business cases for new products and enhancements
Ownership of P&L for assigned product
Responsible for creation of charters for new products and enhancements
Submission of NBIA documentation for new products and enhancements
Identification of business requirements and change controls
Coordination of UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
Ensures internal readiness for launch of products and enhancements
Definition and maintenance of pricing model
Ensures maintenance of an ongoing product controls environment
Responsible for Product KPIs and KRIs
Responsible for issue resolution for assigned products as well as sunset/decommissioning activities when applicable
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred
7+ years of product or related experience
Must have prior experience working at a payments, or payment technology, company
In-depth understanding of the B2B payments space and payments actors (merchants, brands, acquirers, gateways, vendors, etc.)
Experience in merchant acquiring, specifically chargeback and disputes management preferred
Proven ability to drive and deliver a successful product roadmap
Experience developing product strategy and establishing product positioning
Must have strong organizational skills to plan, organize and schedule resources
Proven success interfacing with external parties
Experience with technical concepts and working with technical staff as needed
Strong communication and presentation skills
