Global Trade Advisor, West Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries– Vice President
Global Trade is a critical element of a complete Commercial Banking client relationship, and an important component of our International growth strategy. We offer financing and risk mitigation products to our Commercial Banking clients. Client solutions include Traditional Trade, Supply Chain Finance, Export / ECA Finance, the Ex-Im Working Capital Guarantee Program, Traditional Trade, Standby Letters of Credit, and Guarantees.
The Global Trade Advisor will take end-to-end ownership of a geographic portfolio of Middle Market clients and bankers, responsible for Trade business development, development of client strategies, origination of profitable business in line with those strategies, client advisory, portfolio management, and issue resolution working closely with bankers, International Product Specialists (IPS), Treasury Management Officers (TMO), Client Service, Operations, and Trade and internal business partners.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
Lead sales and origination efforts for trade for assigned portfolio, providing advisory expertise
Take end-to-end ownership to ensure positive trade experience for clients and bankers
Identify and qualify opportunities
Negotiate and close complex sales of trade or multi-product solutions
Develop and execute client strategies in close coordination with Bankers and IPSs counterparts
Intensive client focus
Leverage partnerships with bankers, IPSs, TMOs, and product partners to develop and deliver custom global trade, international, and cross product solutions for Middle Market clients
Identify potential issues and process inefficiencies and escalate accordingly within the Risk and Control framework; champion efficiency and positive change
Identify challenges and develop solutions
Work with Marketing, Product Management, and Global Trade partners to deliver best-in-class external materials and engagements
Represent JPMC's Trade and International capabilities at internal and external events
Provide input into product development, marketing, and other strategic initiatives
Organize and lead ad-hoc teams
In depth knowledge of Traditional Trade products
Familiarity with the Export Finance / Export Credit agency product set
Familiarity with Supply Chain Finance
10+ years of proven sales, relationship building, and business development skills
Strategic thinking and demonstrated analytical skills. Experience working with credit and an understanding of the credit process.

Capable of working with minimal supervision
Written and spoken English fluency
Ability to travel as needed
U.S. West Coast location; Los Angeles or Irvine based (preferred)
