As an Architectural Designer on the Chase Retail Design & Construction Team, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape the future of the retail banking experience. In this role, you will be a critical resource for the larger Retail Design Team. This team is responsible for plan coordination relative to work in our new and existing branch locations across the U.S..

As a Design Manager, you will create floor plans for the larger execution team, as well as manage the critical projects details from beginning to end. Project types can range from state of the art, custom multi-story branches in expansion markets, to renovating historical heritage bank locations in need of focused design care and attention. Other facets of team support involve ongoing evolution of the standards and graphic materials necessary to clearly communicate the design intent while defining the Chase brand. You will bring strong CAD capabilities, graphic and 3D modeling skills, along with a keen interest in leveraging the power that is inherent in BIM. As our team continues to grow, so do our responsibilities for component tracking, cost estimating, energy modeling, etc. This position also requires the ability to function in a team environment – and often times lead – as an integral contributor to all aspects of the architectural design process, including but not limited to:

  • Analysis of existing architectural conditions

  • Adaptation of design standards to site-specific design solutions

  • Integration of program refinements as part of the change management process.

  • Critical evaluation of construction quality

  • Adherence to design standards and code requirements as part of the team’s controls agenda.

  • Bachelors of Architecture degree; advanced degree and/or architectural license a plus

  • Minimum of 7+ years of architectural drafting and design experience – retail, corporate office and/or hospitality projects preferred

  • LEED Accreditation a plus

  • Working knowledge of building systems, construction detailing and building codes

  • General understanding of cost estimating processes

  • Experience managing relationships with external consultants and vendors a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives in various stages of completion simultaneously

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment in which many team members or business partners are based remotely

  • Sense of urgency regarding project timelines

  • Positive "can do" attitude

  • Strong interest in, and demonstrated commitment to, staying current with all building/accessibility codes, design software and design trends

Experience with the Following Software :

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2014 or later version is required

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012 or later version developing models, project documentation and renderings is required

  • Experience with SketchUp and 3ds Max in the creation of models, materials, and renderings is a plus

  • Working knowledge of graphic presentation software is required, Adobe Creative Suites preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
