WM offers these services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, money managers, business owners, trusts, personal holding companies and corporations worldwide, including law firms, private equity and hedge funds where the principals of such firms also maintain individual relationships with WM. WM also provides services to charities, foundations and endowments, as well as structures associated with each of the above such as personal holding companies, trusts and corporations.

AWM Finance and Business Management is responsible for financial planning and analysis, regulatory reporting, strategy, capital stress, business management and internal control on a global basis. The Internal Control & Program Management team is part of AWM Finance and Business Management and is responsible for several control initiatives and works closely with many support functions across AWM. The team manages the following control initiatives:

  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) & CCAP Control Programs

  • Quality Assurance over Regulatory Reporting (e.g., CCAR, Risk Appetite, etc.)

  • Resolution and Recovery Planning Program Management

  • Coordination and documentation of AWM’s quarterly Management Representation Letter and Control Affirmation process

  • Preparation and analysis of legal entity Reorganization and Capital Actions (RCA) and inter-company guarantees

  • Legal Entity Structure / Reg-W Reporting (including Metrics / EMRs)

  • Legal entity reporting and analysis as it relates to the Global Enterprise Management System (“GEMS”), rationalization and other business programs (i.e., FATCA);

  • Material Risk Inventory; and

  • Control management (RCSA and associated administration)

Roles & Responsibilities for Internal Control & Program Management

The candidate must be an experienced professional, preferably with knowledge of the private bank / wealth management and / or asset management businesses, financial instruments and products, and a strong understanding of internal control and support systems within a financial institution;

  • Provide management with support for a complex reporting process to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of the programs managed

  • Update and maintain documentation to support the individual program plans and related information;

  • Assist with the administration of the individual control programs; and

Interact with line of business contacts in Finance and Business Management, Legal Entity Controllers, O&C, Technology, Operations, Real Estate, Compliance, Legal and the Firm PMO team

  • 3 + years experience in global financial services or related professional services

  • Prior experience with Business Management, Financial Reporting and/or Budgeting

  • Project Management experience along with a working knowledge of Financial products (e.g., Equity, Credit, Derivatives, Collateral, etc.);

  • The ability to:

  • Develop, clearly present and draw conclusions from relevant data;

  • Learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically;

  • Multi-task in order to complete projects on time while being able to adapt to changing priorities;

  • Work individually and in teams, shares information, supports colleagues and encourages participation;

  • Possess thoughtful analytical skills along with strong skills in time management, problem solving, written and verbal communication;

  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, effective under pressure;

  • Strong work ethic with keen attention to detail and accuracy;

Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills required
