Role Overview and Requirements

The associate is responsible for gathering, comparing and providing analytical & reporting support for A&WM Control Management. This support is focused on program reporting, RCSA metrics (Issues, Action Plans, Errors, etc.), and updating monthly Scorecards. These Scorecards and related reports are utilized by the Control staff to provide input into the various Business and Firmwide Control Committees and to bring awareness to program key accomplishments, upcoming deliverables and metrics beneficial to their business.

The associate’s key responsibilities include:

  • Aggregate data across lines of business/regions for reporting critical information

  • Execute various data integrity checks on source data used in monthly and quarterly reports

  • Proactively communicate reporting modifications and process changes to contributors based on senior management requests and personal observations

  • Ensure key trends, issues and watch items are brought forward from the metrics into management summaries clearly

  • Assist in real-time risk detection and communicate escalation items to executive management to improve transparency and enhance risk monitoring

  • Act as liaison between the A&WM Control Management team and Controls Room lab to troubleshoot reporting data issues and standardize reporting

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting procedures and controls in accordance with regulations

  • Participate in all aspects of control reporting and data analytics program

  • Elicitation and documentation of current state and future state models, data definition, data matrices, use case development, and business requirements

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities at the same time with tight deadlines

  • Analytical and investigative problem solving abilities

  • Demonstrates proficiency in accessing systems, platforms, applications and data repositories in multiple lines of business

  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations to accurately depict progress being achieved towards specific Program metrics

  • Possesses ability to creatively and productively consult/confer with management, business and data owners to solicit information and data

  • Analyzes data and reports to derive performance improvement opportunities, isolate root causes, and collaborate on viable solutions to drive enhanced operational processes

  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency in responding to escalating issues, rapidly changing priorities and adverse performance

  • Executes on additional projects as assigned by management

  • Ability to follow complex methods and diverse procedures

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite; particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint site administration and day-to-day management

  • Limited proficiency in use of data visualization tools such as QlikView and Tableau

  • Experience with data intake process management and design

  • Access proficiency and ability to write/execute Oracle SQL, Business Objects and Cognos queries from multiple metadata sources and schemas a plus

  • Provide support with Testing & QA related activities as needed
