JPMorgan Chase Asset Wealth Management - Business Resiliency Manager, Associate in New York, New York

The Business Resiliency Management group, in partnership with the business, is responsible for the management and delivery of the AWM Business Resiliency Program which includes: development of business resiliency strategies, co-ordination of testing of recovery capabilities and coordination of crisis management within JP Morgan Asset Wealth Management (AWM).

The Relationship Manager is responsible for developing the partnership with the business end to end i.e. front office, operations and technology. Many of the interactions will be with individuals at a senior level in the organization. Other key partnerships exist with the internal providers of Business Recovery Facilities and Technology, as well as with the Global Business Resiliency Crisis Management, Audit and Operational/Information Risk Management and Oversight and Controls teams.

This is a demanding role that would suit a bright, ambitious individual seeking exposure to a broad range of businesses and technologies across AWM:

  • Oversight of program compliance for the business for, Business Resiliency Plans and Business Impact Analyses to ensure they are complete and meet all required standards; testing and validation of resiliency strategies.

  • Development and sourcing of Business Resiliency Strategies.

  • Promote Business Resiliency knowledge sharing among the Business Management community including regular Business Resiliency awareness sessions.

  • Identify gaps in capability and manage their remediation in partnership with the business and/or technology teams.

  • Provide consolidated control reporting for the businesses as required (i.e., scorecards, metrics, semi-annual corporate reviews and other operations/technology reporting requirements).

  • As part of the AWM BR team, facilitate the AWM Crisis Command Center during major events, which includes support and coordination of the Resiliency Coordinator network, reporting of significant issues and progress of business resumption.

  • Partner with the overall Controls & Oversight Team and the Global Business Resiliency Crisis Management Team to ensure all corporate resiliency planning requirements and standards are met.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the firm-wide business resiliency tools (i.e. RDMS; GENT)

  • Maintain an awareness of industry, business, product, technology and control issues that relate to Business Resiliency Planning.

  • Strong relationship and influencing skills, and the ability to interface with business, operations and technology contacts at all levels.

  • Good project management & personal organization skills.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Proven data organization and analysis skills with ideally previous experience in a control or similar function.

  • Proven ability to work within a team and independently.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

  • Flexibility i.e. Ability to adjust to sudden changes to meet business objectives.

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in Resiliency Risk Management.

Must be prepared to be available during non-business hours.
